Reintegration of Veterans into Corporate Security: ACSPU Held a Strategic Event for Ukrainian Businesses
21 May 2026
Veterans as a Strategic Resource for Business
Ukrainian businesses have entered a new reality — the large-scale return of veterans to the civilian economy. This issue has moved far beyond social policy or charity. It has become a fundamental question of competitiveness, national resilience, and the future architecture of Ukraine.
Veterans bring to the corporate environment unique and critically important competencies, especially relevant under wartime conditions:
- practical experience in risk management
- strong crisis-response skills
- discipline and responsibility
- leadership qualities
- the ability to operate effectively under uncertainty
Challenges Companies Must Address
Along with opportunities, businesses face serious challenges that require a systematic approach:
- psychological and operational adaptation of teams
- management of internal conflicts and behavioral risks
- integration of veterans into existing corporate processes
- building internal support systems and policies
The event focused on practical, ready-to-implement solutions for corporate security leaders, HR directors, business owners, and risk management specialists.
Presentation of Research and Tools
During the event, the SEAL Survival and Special Training Center presented an in-depth study and practical tools for effective cooperation between businesses and veterans returning from the frontline.
Participants discussed:
- integration of veterans into corporate security functions using the ESRM (Enterprise Security Risk Management) approach
- management of adaptation risks and conflict mitigation
- step-by-step development of internal veteran support programs
