19 March 2026
On March 17, the Association of Corporate Security Professionals of Ukraine (APCBU) held an offline meeting on the topic: “Corporate Risk Management in Wartime: From Survival to Strategic Advantage.” The event moderator, Andriy Brahin, facilitated a professional dialogue and helped gather meaningful questions from the participants.
The session speaker, Volodymyr Huzenko, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board on Security at PJSC Donbasenergo, shared practical experience in managing risks under wartime conditions.
During the discussion, participants covered:
-
Critical risks for Ukrainian businesses today;
-
Management decisions that help companies maintain operational resilience;
-
Integration of the security service into strategic company management;
-
Transforming risk management from a reactive tool into a source of strategic advantage.

Key takeaways from the event:
-
The most vulnerable business assets are people and information, while reputation is the most painful consequence of incidents.
-
An effective security system should support business processes, not restrict them.
-
Raising employee awareness and fostering a culture of resilience are crucial for minimizing losses and ensuring operational stability.
Participants also shared practical examples of how to properly link a risk map to strategic KPIs, integrate the security service into business processes, and translate risks into financial implications for management decisions.
